Introduction to Anderson Bushikai Muay Thai Kickboxing.

The modern ring sport of kickboxing is founded on the original martial art of Muay Thai.

Its strength lies in its ability to teach agile movement, delivery of devastating strikes, and execution of strong defences.

Fighting skills are developed through drills, sparring and striking against focus mitts and kick shields.  Skills are practiced either individually, in pairs or small groups.
Major skill groups we teach include: movement, timing, striking, blocking, evasion, and grappling.

The world governing body for muaythai is the World Muay Thai Council (WMC) and their rules are published at http://www.wmcmuaythai.org/muaythai/muay_rules.htm.
