It is a condition of
entry to our Dojos that the rules below are followed:
- Do not abuse your knowledge of the martial arts.
- Demonstrate good courtesy, respect and sportsmanship to each other.
- Bow into the training area as you enter and leave.
- Bow to your instructor and peers as you join or leave a group.
- Greet more senior students, and instructors with a bow.
- Address instructors by their title; or the generic term 'Sensei'.
- Obey all lawful directions from instructors.
- No sparring takes place except under the direct supervision of an instructor.
- No training equipment (including weapons) will be used without an instructor present.
- Keep an appropriate level of personal hygiene.
This includes keeping fingernails and toenails short and clean; and
washing your uniform between classes.
- Jewellery should not be worn when training.
(Exceptions may be approved by instructors.)
- No profanity.
- Any student behaving in a disrespectful or dangerous manner will be asked to leave the floor.
